Mount Pleasant Plants is a small, family run nursery, growing herbaceous perennials in the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds.
The nursery field is quite exposed so we cover the plants with a green netting in the winter, to save them from being blown away! It does however mean that the plants are hardy.
Propagation takes place on the nursery throughout the year, so not all the plants will be available for sale at any one time.
There is a large herbaceous border spreading round two sides of the nursery, so visitors can see many of the plants growing there. It looks its best from June to September, since we specialise in later flowering perennials.
Many of the plants in our list are only grown in small numbers, but they have been included because they are often difficult to find elsewhere.
Groups are welcome to visit in the evening by prior appointment.
Plant stalls can be arranged for plant fairs, open gardens and fetes.
Rona Ashworth is available to visit groups and give talks and practical gardening demonstrations.
